Hi, I’m Siouxsie and I head up the Bioluminescent Superbugs Lab. My favourite superhero/villain is Poison Ivy and if I could have a superpower it would probably be the ability to absorb other superpowers, like Syler from Heroes, although preferably without the serial killer bit…

Hi, I’m Jimmy and I am a wandering scientist from Ireland. I am a research fellow here at Auckland working on tuberculosis (TB), an infectious disease that is one of the world’s major killers. I use bioluminescence to rapidly screen for new drugs for TB. My favourite superhero is Spiderman and if I could have a superpower it would be the ability to teleport, mainly to avoid airport queues.
